Pig Roast and Barn Dance featuring
Old-time duo Sheesham & Lotus

Fun for all and all for fun!

First comes the pig roast - fill your plate with fine local fare including stacks of fresh heirloom tomatoes, mouth-watering roast pork, steaming hot corn on the cob and much more. Keep yer fork, there's pie!

Then comes the dancing - old-time music duo Sheesham and Lotus will entertain and inspire us, entertaining us with their downright fabulous playing. Then up you get (should you feel moved) to join in with your fellow revelers as they attempt to allemande left and swing their partner (managing to keep a straight face some of the time).

This event is a fundraiser for Festival Players of Prince Edward County. If last year's event was anything to go by, people will have a whale of a time. No experience required. Sheesham & Lotus will inspire us all to kick up our heels and have a ball. The event sold out last year - book your tickets early!

Sommelier led winery tour: Walking Tour of Greer Road

Leave it to our Savvy Sommeliers to make all of the arrangements ofyour day touring around The County!  Greer Road is a busy street with three neighbouring wineries – each with different architecture & delicious wines.

Our tour will begin at Rosehall Run Vineyards where a Savvy Sommelier will give you a mini ‘wine appreciation class’ & trade tips on how to enjoy winery visits to the fullest.  Armed with this new knowledge, our walk will start! Rosehall Run winemaker Dan Sullivan will tour us around the crush pad, fermentation tanks and into the County’s largest barrel room - while sipping wines of course – to understand each step of the winemaking process!  We will wander down to Casa Dea Winery for lunch surrounded by the vineyards, then we will burn off the calories with a stroll through the vineyards with Norm Hardie to learn how his team is preparing for the grape harvest.  Although a lot of ground to cover, the walk will be less than 2 kms!

Wines from these three wineries will be sipped at each stop along the way…

This tour is a great opportunity to meet thewinemakers - making a personal connection between the people who make the wine and those who enjoy their wines!

Put on your walking shoes and get ready to roam in the vineyards & tour the impressive wineries on Greer Road.
